There is a whole genre of comic books focusing on nudity and sexual activities known as erotic comics. Some comics are purely erotic, while others include a standalone sexual element. While these books may contain explicit content, they are usually not sold to legal minors. Here are three great examples of erotic comics. Let’s discuss them:

Matt Fraction

If you enjoy adult-themed comics, you may want to check out “Sex Criminals” by Matt Fraction. This Image Comics series follows a young woman named Suzie, who has a special ability. As a teenager, Suzie sought out information on her abilities from the local library and from the “dirty girls” in high school. She also developed an affection for books that lasted her whole life.

The comic isn’t necessarily salacious, but it is certainly funny. It follows a twenty-something woman as she discovers her sexual past and explores the fear and innocence of the first orgasm. Her sexuality is the stuff of childhood, but she’s also a strong independent woman who is smart and sociable. It’s not every day that a comic writer writes a comic with a subtext of sexuality, but Fraction’s comics don’t have to be dark and grim to make you laugh.

Gina Wynbrandt

For fans of the sexy world of teen magazines, Gina Wynbrandt’s sexual comics are a perfect blend of crass and funny. The cartoonist makes use of features such as a flaring nose, bare teeth, and bulging eyes to create a world that’s both witty and disturbing. The end result is a collection of sexually explicit comics that celebrate the personhood of a young woman and her desire to get close to a man.

A self-described “nerdy teen” whose sexual adventures typically involve weed, Justin Bieber, and an employee who insists on having sex with her in the future, Wynbrandt’s “Please Someone Have Sex With Me” comic collection is full of fun, albeit disturbing, stories that exemplify sex as an essential part of life. In “Please Someone Have Sex With Me,” Wynbrandt seamlessly weaves pop-culture references with cyberculture, utilizing iPhone screen shots to illustrate the importance of technology. Likewise, the semi-autobiographical nature of her comics gives the reader a chance to get to know her as a person and a woman.

Gina Wynbrandt’s comics

A Chicago-based artist has recently released a new collection of her sexual comics, “Someone Please Have Sex With Me.” The book’s title says it all. It’s intense, weird, and vulnerable. It’s a great read, and worth picking up for fans of alternative and alt-comics alike. Here are some highlights from the collection. You’ll be able to identify with both the main character, Gina, and the cat-like characters in the book.

The series begins with the protagonist, Gina Wynbrandt, surrendering her sexuality to various dream scenarios. In one sequence, she seeks out a talking cat, which she does by training a feral cat with human faces. She forces her target to perform demeaning tasks for her enjoyment. Ultimately, the comic’s ending shows that she’s lost control of her body and has no other choice but to accept her fate.

The Discipline by Peter Milligan

The Discipline by Peter Milligan is a very different comic than most independent or superhero comics. While Milligan has been writing dark and violent comics for years, this is the first time he’s written something like this. In fact, this series fits more closely into the vein of early Vertigo work than many of his more mainstream titles. Like other Vertigo series like “The Extremist,” “Enigma,” or “Face,” The Discipline has some similarities to those comics.

The Discipline begins with a mix of obsession and ominous art. It’s a story about a woman suffering from a bad marriage who meets Orlando, a man she may not be. The comic book’s artwork is so detailed and eerie that it makes the reader feel tense and uncomfortable at the same time. In addition to this, Milligan spoke with the comic book industry to discuss his writing process.

Small Favors by Colleen Coover

The small, erotic comics published by Fantagraphics/Eros in 2000-2003 are some of the best-known works of sex-positive adult comics, and they are now available in a new collection. The new collection contains all of the stories from Small Favors, including the color special and a brand-new short story from Colleen Coover. It also includes an introduction by Kelly Sue DeConnick.

If you’re looking for a fun and lighthearted read for your little one, Small Favors is the comic for you. The story is based on a little girl named Bandette, who lives in a not-quite-Paris where she steals treasures and art from international crime lords. She manages to accomplish this feat in a way that makes her look like the Pink Panther or Audrey Hepburn.
